History of the Ford Bronco

Doug Demuro reviews the 1996 Ford Bronco

The Ford Bronco is a four-wheel drive SUV that was produced by the Ford Motor Company from 1965 to 1996. It was based on the company’s compact Falcon platform and used a body-on-frame construction.

The Bronco was designed as an off-road vehicle, and was offered in both two-door and four-door versions. The Bronco was discontinued in 1996, and was replaced by the larger Ford Expedition.

The Bronco became popular as an off-road vehicle, due to its four-wheel drive and high ground clearance. It was also used as a police vehicle and as a utility vehicle. The Bronco was available in several different trim levels, and was offered with a variety of engines, including a V- eight engine.

The Bronco was discontinued in 1996, due to declining sales. The Expedition, which is based on the Ford F-150 platform, replaced the Bronco as Ford’s large SUV.
