Toyota is never one to sit on the sidelines of cutting edge developments, the company’s BSI with Cross Traffic alert is an example. The Blind Spot Information System (BSI) with Cross Traffic Monitor technology is an advanced safety feature that helps drivers detect objects in their blind spots.

How does Blind Spot Information Systems work?

It uses sensors to detect objects in the driver’s blind spot and alerts the driver with an audible warning and a visual alert on the side mirror. The Cross Traffic Monitor technology uses sensors to detect objects that may be in the driver’s path as they back out of a parking spot.

This technology helps to reduce the chances of backing into an object or another vehicle, allowing drivers to maneuver their vehicles more safely.
