Electric Power-assisted Steering (EPAS) is a type of steering system that is powered by an electric motor, instead of the traditional hydraulic power steering.

How Electric Power-assisted Steering (EPAS) works?

EPAS uses a rack and pinion system to convert the rotational movement of the steering wheel into a linear motion that is transmitted to the wheels, allowing the driver to make turns and maneuver the car.

The motor is powered by the car’s battery, and the speed and power of the motor can be adjusted, depending on the driver’s preference. EPAS provides a smoother, more responsive steering experience, as well as improved fuel economy and safety.
