Hyundai’s debuted it’s Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) in December 2021, the tech is now available in their cars. The company also placed the platform in some Kia models, including the luxury Genesis trims and the upcoming EV9 all-electric SUV.
What Hyundai does with E-GMP?
The E-GMP system will provide Hyundai with a unified platform for electric vehicles to make them easier to design, build, and manufacture. The platform has a range of features, such as an 800V charging system that can charge a car up to 80% in just 18 minutes, and a driving range of up to 500km.
The platform also includes a slew of advanced driver-assistance systems, such as lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, and blind spot detection. With the E-GMP, Hyundai is committed to making electric vehicles more accessible and efficient than ever before.
